Height Limiters

YS Series Height Limiter

A system that limits vehicle entry height to protect overhead structures, installations and door systems from vehicle impact.

Clear height warning

High-visibility striping and signage give the driver early warning.

Flexible/sprung structure option

Can return to its original shape after light contact without permanent damage.

High visibility

Standard safety orange/yellow for visibility even in low light.

Easy adjustability

Clearance height can be adjusted to match site requirements.

Applications

Where it's used

Indoor parking entrances

Passages above loading docks

Warehouse door entrances

Tunnel and underpass entrances

Height restrictions over service roads

Building entrance/exit doors

Engineering Approach

Why it's designed this way

01 — Risk

Most damage lands on the structure, not the vehicle

Most damage at indoor parking entrances, loading dock passages and tunnel entrances happens because a driver forgets to check their vehicle's height against the clearance — and the overhead structure, installation or door system takes the hit directly.

02 — Measurement precision

The right height is a value measured on site

The limiter's height is calculated from the safe tolerance for the tallest vehicle expected to pass through. That calculation is only accurate once it's confirmed by an on-site measurement — installing to an estimated value may not fully cover the risk.

03 — Design logic

A flexible/sprung structure limits damage from accidental contact

The chance of a driver still making contact is never zero. A flexible or sprung structure lets both the vehicle and the system come away from that contact without permanent damage.

04 — Our approach

A passage-specific decision, not a standard part

Clearance height and opening width are finalized through our same 5-step engineering process (design, calculation, procurement, installation, commissioning) following an on-site measurement.
